CASE STUDY 1: AUTOMATIC CANDY WRAPPING MACHINE

The targeted system is the packaging system for Macapuno coconut candy at Cầu Kè Trà Vinh Macapuno Processing Co., Ltd. (VICOSAP). VICOSAP produces three varieties of macapuno candy: pure, cocoa, and pandan leaf.
Each candy piece has external dimensions of 23 mm × 18 mm × 13 mm and weighs 5 g. Different additives result in varying hardness levels, as detailed in Table B.
The candy is wrapped in a 0.02 mm thick layer of rice paper, with a wrapper size of 55 mm × 70 mm. Before entering the packaging machine, the wrapped macapuno candy is placed on a plastic tray with dimensions of 23 mm × 18 mm × 13 mm and a thickness of 0.5 mm.
